Your privacy on y2mate.love
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what happens to your information when you browse Y2Mate or use it to load video and audio download options.
Last updated:
Information involved
Y2Mate does not require an account or ask you to provide a name, email address or payment details to use the downloader.
Visiting a website involves network requests. The hosting and delivery services handling those requests can receive technical information such as your IP address, browser information, requested page and request time. Their logging settings determine whether and for how long this information is retained.
- Video links: the link you enter is used to request download options from the embedded download service.
- Download interactions: the embedded service handles your format selection, file preparation and download requests.
- Technical information: services receiving those requests also receive the network and browser information needed to respond.
Third-party downloads
Y2Mate loads download options through an embedded panel at embed.y2dl.pro. When you enter a supported link, the panel loads automatically after a short delay; clicking Download also loads it.
The panel receives the video link you entered, this website’s origin and a request identifier used to coordinate the panel. Its provider receives your network request and may use additional services to retrieve, prepare and deliver files.
The embedded provider, YouTube and any external sites you visit handle information under their own policies. Their storage, cookies and retention practices can differ from those of this website.
Only enter a video link you intend to send to the download service. Avoid including private information or access tokens in a URL.
Clipboard access
The clipboard button reads text only when you click or tap it while the input field is empty. Your browser may ask for permission. The page does not continuously monitor your clipboard.
Clipboard text is placed in the input field and checked as a video link. A supported link then loads the third-party download panel automatically. You can paste manually if you prefer, or deny clipboard permission in your browser settings.
Cookies and browser storage
Y2Mate’s own page scripts do not set cookies or save your entered links in localStorage or sessionStorage. The download form keeps its current state in page memory.
Embedded services operate separately and may use their own cookies or storage, subject to your browser’s restrictions. Your browser may also retain browsing history, form entries, cached pages and a list of downloaded files.
You can review site data, clear browsing history and restrict third-party cookies in your browser settings. Blocking an embedded service may prevent download options from working.
How information is used
The video link and download requests are used to display available formats and prepare the file you choose. Technical request information supports delivery, troubleshooting and protection against abuse.
Requests reach the hosting infrastructure and the download providers needed to deliver the service. This page does not establish those providers’ independent data practices; review their policies before using their services.
Retention and security
The download form does not maintain a persistent download history in this website’s browser storage. Clearing the field removes the current input and panel from the page; it does not delete records already received by a provider.
Server logs, prepared files and records held by infrastructure or download providers are subject to their retention settings. Y2Mate does not specify a deletion period for those external records here.
Use a secure connection when browsing. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Files saved to your device and the browser’s download history are managed through your device and browser.
Your privacy choices
You control which links you enter and whether to allow clipboard access or third-party browser storage. Depending on your location and the service processing your information, you may also have rights to request access, correction or deletion of personal information.
- Browse the information pages without entering a video link; the download panel is only created when a supported link is loaded on the home page.
- Use browser settings to manage clipboard permissions, cookies and stored site data.
- Remove downloaded files and download history through your device and browser controls.
- For information processed by an external download provider, consult that provider’s privacy information and request channels.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the website or its service providers change. The date at the top of this page identifies the latest revision. Check this page again when you want to review the current explanation of how the service handles information.
